Growing up, Jermina Johnson loved experimenting in the kitchen and creating new dishes for her family. When she became a mother, she loved making new dishes with her son, trying new foods, and mixing things up from the standard everyday meals. She started decorating cakes after buying a small custom one from an old classmate for her mom's medical school graduation. Jermina loves art, so the design of the customized cake fascinated her: details of the lines and innovative elements representing nursing. The best part was the little fondant lady figure that sat on top of the cake. She knew with patience, practice, and knowledge in the kitchen that she too could do this! Her son's birthday was approaching, along with her sister's graduation from cosmetology school, so she wanted to be prepared to provide desserts for the celebrations.

In her spare time, baking and decorating became her hobby, then people started asking to buy cakes. But not just any cakes, uniquely crafted ones. At first, Jermina began selling cakes for extra income to help with raising her son as a single mom. Fast forward 10 + years, she still loves decorating cakes and consistently learns new techniques and skills to better her craft. The absolute best part of all of this is the smiles on her clients' faces when they see the cakes and treats.
